What’s on offer at
· Links to local schools including transition from the Children’s Centre.
· The preparing for nursery programme is a parenting programme developed for each term to promote children’s school readiness.
· Training information and access to information and guidance on seeking work.
· Free ESOL classes at Entry 1 and Entry 2 level.
· Support for young parents to enjoy healthy life style, access appropriate training and encourage them to identify education and work options.
· Support for local child-minders who can use the children’s centre services
· Parenting courses and advice on the ages and stages of your child’s development.
· Health services including Midwifery booking and Child Health Clinics.
· Children’s Centre practitioners offer home visits and more intensive support for families needing it.
· Stay and play activity sessions for children and parents that include creative activities such as “Mark Making“, Fun Food Factory and Write Dance. Every session followed up with Rhythm Rhyme and Story.
· Rhythm, Rhyme and Story time session for children and parents
· Outreach sessions at local schools and community venues.
We welcome parents, carers and children to come and make use of our facilities. There is always a friendly face at Church Road Children’s Centre. Some parents may want to join our Activity Planning Group or become part of the Advisory Board. We want parents and carers to help us to deliver the services that meet the needs of the community.
