A Welcome to Haslemere Primary School!

Welcome to our School website – I hope you will find it useful and informative. The website reflects our school- it is lively, humorous, modern and colourful.

Most of all we are proud of our children, their achievement and their personal development. Children at Haslemere are encouraged to reflect on their actions and to make the right decisions. They are supported to become independent thinkers, confident and articulate. Our ethos is that all children can succeed and we provide a wide range of skills.

We welcome every opportunity to show visitors round our school and I would be very please to give you a guided tour. Sometimes we encourage our Year 6 children, house captains or school council, to escort visitors around the site, instead.

In 2009 the Church Road Children’s Centre opened on our site. The Children’s Centre on Church Road is a stunning new development with excellent provision for 0-5 years (and their parents!). We also opened a Woodland Walk in the summer and in 2008, an all weather sports court, which sees daily intense use.

We are constantly developing a relevant and exciting curriculum to prepare our children for the 21st Century and particularly for the challenge of the move to secondary school. Please browse through this website to see how this curriculum comes to life.

The children’s thoughts and contributions express this independence and confidence much more than mere words from me. Look at the pictures and writing from Nursery and TLC (The Little Club) all the way to our young people in Year 6 and you will see what I mean. Then after visiting our website, you may want to visit in person and I look forward to welcoming you and showing you why we are so proud of our school.
